Chile Dominated By Favored Brazil in World Cup Odds

Brazil moved closer to a sixth World Cup title in online sports betting on Monday after they dominated Chile on Monday in the round of 16, winning 3-0 in World Cup odds.

The five-time World Cup victors will now confront the Netherlands in the quarterfinals on Friday. Brazil played their best game of the World Cup in the win over Chile and strengthened their position as the World Cup betting favorites.

Chile became the 1st of the five South American teams to be removed from the World Cup in sports betting online. Along with Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay are still in the tournament. Brazil has now reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup each and every time since the 1990 competition in Italy, where it lost to Argentina in the second round.

In their quarterfinal competition versus the Netherlands, World Cup odds like Brazil on Friday. They’re going to be quite difficult to beat in World Cup probabilities according to how Brazil played vs Chile. Earlier Monday in Durban, the Netherlands beat Slovakia 2-1. Brazil is in the quarterfinals for the fifth straight World Cup. Uruguay, Ghana, Germany and Argentina also qualified for the quarterfinals this previous weekend.

Chile truly had no chance against Brazil. In the round of 16 game on Monday they were completely dominated. Chile hasn’t won against Brazil in ten years and they were in no way in Monday’s competition. Juan landed for Brazil in the 35th minute and Luis Fabiano added in a goal in the 38th minute. Following that goal it was simply a matter of the final score. Robinho scored in the 59th minute, scoring his first goal in this year’s World Cup. Kaka was back in the roster for Brazil after missing the last match due to suspension. He seemed pretty formidable and started off the Chile defense that was lacking Gary Medel and Waldo Ponce. Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar was not truly tested in the competition although he did need to make a save late in the competition when he stopped a formidable shot from Suazo. Brazil has won eight consecutive games against Chile by a combined score of 29-3. Brazil has picked up their last 15 matches when Robinho scores and they’re now 30-0-4 when Kaka and Robinho both play.

Chile was lacking many regular starters, including central defenders Gary Medel and Waldo Ponce because of yellow card suspensions, while Marco Estrada skipped the match after being sent off against Spain.

The easy part is now over for Brazil, though they could be peaking at the right time in World Cup probabilities, but they should get their 1st test versus the Netherlands in the quarterfinals on Friday. Before the World Cup started the Netherlands was deemed 1 of the teams that may upset Brazil and they will get their opportunity on Friday in a competition that can be viewed on ESPN. Brazil was the close 2nd choice behind Spain to win the World Cup before it commenced but according to their recent play, Brazil has absorbed the role of favorite in World Cup gambling.
